Since the end of World War II, American suburbia has grown to be the dominant American community structure. Carved from farmland outside of cities – and connected to them by the burgeoning interstate highway system – suburbia defines much of the American landscape to this day. This cross section work in progess aims the lens at this American phenomenon.
